Collecting Brown Manufacturing bottle openers has long been a shared passion among a dedicated circle of enthusiasts who appreciate these durable slices of Americana. Harold John Eblen Jr. started off collecting STARR bottle openers in the early 1980’s. His interest in them started a journey to learn more about what else was out there to collect. Very little information about STARR openers was available at that time.  As his collection grew, his research and documenting the different styles also grew, which led him to writing a collector’s guide about Brown Manufacturing Company and our older STARR bottle openers. His “Guide To Collecting Brown Manufacturing Company Starr Bottle Openers Since 1925” book is a must have for collectors of Brown’s early vintage openers.  It’s only available on Amazon.  Here is the LINK.
